KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh Police, Shahid Nadeem Baloch has directed the Sindh Police to adopt extra-ordinary integrated security arrangements across the Sindh province on the occasion of death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
He directed that effective checking be ensured at all entry points of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and others areas of Sindh, said a statement on Wednesday.
The Sindh Police Chief directed to increase patrolling and taking practical steps at highways and all streets and roads leading to the highways.
He has directed the Sindh Police to deploy police personnel at the check posts which have been established on highways.
Shahid Nadeem has directed the Police to make parking arrangements and set up parking areas at a reasonable distance to the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh graveyard.
Technical sweeping and clearance be also ensured in addition to the deployment of police personnel in the parking areas, he said.
He directed the supervising officials of the police stations to take practical steps to ensure security on the main streets and put an active watch on suspected persons or vehicles.
He also called for enhancing the practical steps for collection and sharing intelligence reports.
The Sindh Police Chief has directed that plainclothes police personnel be assigned duties in the surrounding areas of the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
