Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak said the government would utilize energies to improve the life standard and working conditions of lawyer’s community enabling them to perform their professional obligations in a better way.
He was talking to a delegation of District Bar Shangla here Sunday. The delegation was headed by its President, Abdul Saboor Advocate while Provincial Minister for Health, Shaukat Yousafzai was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that his government was committed to ensure the provision of health, education and all other basic civic amenities to people of far flung areas at their door steps.
He said for the purpose all Administrative Secretaries have been assigned to visit their respective districts twice a month and to report the issues and problems confronted by the people, so that they could be addressed timely and properly.
He urged upon the lawyer’s community to play their role in implementation of the reform agenda and inform the authorities concerned regarding any negligence or non compliance.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned quarters of Communication and Works Department to prepare PC-1 for the construction of car park in the premises of District Bar Room.
The delegation pointed out that work on the construction of a newly established Technical College building which was started in 2001 has not been completed. Pervez Khattak while taking strong exception of the delay in work on Technical College directed the Secretary Technical Education to submit a report to this effect.
He also directed the authorities concerned to submit summaries for the establishment of district jail building and purchase of land for the construction of Judicial Complex at Alpuri, Shangla. He also announced grant of two million rupees for the bar.
