ISLAMABAD: Former Ambassador, Mushtaq Ahmed Mehar Friday said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif wanted to improve relations with regional countries to boost trade.
He said Prime Minister wanted to boost trade relations with central Asian countries including Afghanistan, China and Iran.
Talking to Radio Pakistan on Friday, he said Afghanistan could become trade corridor for central Asian Countries adding that Pakistan government believed that time had come to hold talks with Taliban for peace in the region.
Dr. Sarfraz Khan, Director Area Study Center, Peshawar University said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif are visiting Kabul on the invitation of Afghan President Hamid Karzai adding that stable Afghanistan was in the interest of Pakistan.
He said it was stance of the Prime Minister that internal matters of Afghanistan should not be interfered.
He added that Pakistan would support Afghan based and Afghan owned peace process.
