KOHAT: As the Kohat violence is rising, the death toll in the city rose to four and another injured succumbed to injuries at hospital, media reported Tuesday.
According to the report, district administration formed a 26-member committee in an attempt to end the tension.
The committee will submit its report at 10am today.
According to Commissioner Kohat Jamalud Din, the educational institutes have also been closed for an indefinite period, as the district administration is scrambling to overcome the volatile situation.
During the violence, at least 20 shops and four vehicles were torched in Tirah and Bannu Bazaar, pushing the city towards explosive flashpoint. Hence, the army was called in and curfew was clamped in the city.
Seeing the heightened tension in the city, district administration announced to keep all government and non-government offices closed today.
