ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Monday urged Pakistan nation to exterminate their differences and come at one page for the integrity and sovereignty of the country at the defining movements of country’s history.
Addressing in the National Assembly, he said the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw government will block the NATO supply on November 20 if the current situation persists.
He said the nation should take a stand against the drone attacks and forcefully convey the world powers not to destroy the peace process at very initial stage. “We should forcefully tell the Americans why they destroy the peace process whenever it is initiated.”
“We should take a joint stand against the drone attacks. Pakistan should take concrete steps against the attacks and with mere condemnations the drone attacks could not be stopped.”
Imran said he was ready to contact all political leaders including chief of Jamiat Ulema e Islam (Fazl) Maulana Fazlur Rehman for the sake of the country.
War on terror was never our war. He lauded the efforts of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for initiating peace process. A total of four All Parties Conferences (APCs) had given a mandate to successive governments to hold the dialogue process with Taliban for exterminating the menace of terrorism from the country, he said.
He said the country has endured over $ 100 billion losses in the war on terror. In Khyber Pakhtunkhaw over 70 percent industry has been closed due to bad law and order situation.
