ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday said that a joint strategy should be adopted to address the present situation.
Talking to media persons outside the parliament, he said that the government should convene All Parties Conference (APC) to discuss the issue.
He said in past, the APC had given mandate to the government to start dialogue with Taliban and the same should be repeated to devise consensus policy. He said it is need of the hour that all parties should come on one page and take decision with consultation.
To a question he said, delay to initiate dialogue with Taliban happened due to terrorist incidents in KPK.
He said that when KPK assembly wanted to approve resolution against the drone attacks at that time JUI-F demanded to include stoppage of NATO supply but PTI refused. JUI-F was in favor of stoppage of NATO supply but decision should be taken with consultation and no party should take solo flight in this regard.
He said some people in Taliban side are in favor of dialogue and urged the government to make efforts to continue dialogue process with Taliban.
