QUETTA: A division bench of Balochistan High Court Monday expressed concern over delay in recovery of Awami National Party Balochistan’s former president Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi and directed law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for ensuring his earlier recovery.
The division bench comprising Chief Justice, Justice Qazi Faez Issa and Justice Muhammad Kamran Mulakhel resumed hearing on petition filed by Arbab Umar Farooq Kasi seeking early recovery of his kidnapped father here.
The court ordered the LEAs for taking stringent action against elements involved in kidnapping incidents and disturbing peace in the province.
He assured the bench that the police was making all-out efforts to ensure the safe release of Arbab and investigation on case was proceeding ahead in satisfactory manner.
The CCPO prayed the court for granting more time to resolve case successfully.
The bench had remarked that the provincial capital was comparatively a small city and maintaining law and order here should have not been an issue for police as was in other major cities.
The court also directed the police and Frontier Corps for taking effective measures against bands of criminals involved in kidnapping incidents and other anti social activities in the province.
