Ulema vow to maintain inter-faith harmony during Muharram


KARACHI: Member National Assembly (MNA), Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting in connection with the arrangements to facilitate the participants of mourning processions and majalis of the holy month of Muharram- ul- Haram.

Among others, Municipal Commissioner district East, Kamal Mustafa, Superintendent Engineer East Iqbal Shah and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion, said a statement.

The participants of the meeting including ulema belonging to different schools of thought vowed to play their role to promote inter-faith harmony, brotherhood, peace and unity during Muharram.

A central control room has also been set up in the main office of district East to monitor and develop liaison among departments during Muharram.
