FWBL received a grant of Rs. 13.8 million from AFGEPUSAID for implementing trainings to mostly low income women in Lahore and Karachi FWBL Business Development & Training Centers and organized through reputed Resource institutes. These trainings had a deliverable target of 32 trainings in two years for approximately 640 women which has been met.
First Women Bank Ltd. is organizing a Trainee Networking meeting (TNM) for its Lahore Business Development & Training Centre Trainees on October 3, 2013 at Hotel Falettis Lahore. This program is being organized under the AF GEP USAID Funded Project and the overall umbrella of FWBL’s Capacity Building & Skill Development Training Program. The Minister for Women Development Punjab Ms. Hameeda Wahiduddin will be the Chief Guest for the afternoon session.
The TNM is a daylong culminating networking event who received skill trainings under the AFGEP USAID funded two year pilot project. The TNM is planned on an interactive model that will enable FWBL GEP trainees to network and link with the larger group of trainees for the first time, meet role models, potential employers, engage and gain further awareness on FWBL’s Business Development & Financial services including access to credit, meet Resources persons from training institutes, dialogue on with various stakeholders. Trainees will display their products which would also be available for sale.
