PESHAWAR: At least six people including two policemen were killed while 10 others were injured when an IED planted outside BHU in Sulemankhel area of Badabher hit police mobile that was meant to escort polio teams for vaccination of children in the area.
According to police, police mobile hit an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted outside Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Sulemankhel area of Badaber and as a result six people including two policemen were killed.
The dead include Sajjid Khan, reader of the respective police station, informed police official Samiullah Khan.
However, polio teams remained safe in the gory incident as they were waiting inside the BHU for the police escort.
The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment where two out of the 10 injured are stated to be in critical condition.
