Shah urges not to politicize NAB chairman appointment

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Friday urged the political forces not to politicize the appointment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman.

Talking to APP, he pointed out that there were certain elements who were trying to politicize the issue by spoiling the image of the government and opposition for their vested interests.

Regarding postponement of the meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Khursheed Shah said that the consultation was going on within the stakeholders and expressed the hope to reach a mutual consensus very soon.

He denied any kind of ‘Muk-Muka’ (deal) on the highest position of an anti-corruption institution of the country and reiterated that the government and the opposition wanted to hire the services of an impartial retired official having a neat and clean past.

Talking on Karachi operation, he criticized Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) for having double standard policy adding that there was no Mohajir, all were Sindhi and equal citizens of the province.
