SC forms five benches, a larger bench for next week


ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has constituted five benches and a larger bench at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday (October 28).

The first bench is comprised of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice AnwarZaheer Jamali and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, second bench consist of Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed while third bench comprising of Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed and Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rahman.

Fourth bench is comprised of Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and fifth bench consist of Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Mushir Alam.

The larger bench comprising Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Muhammad Ather Saeed and Justice Hameed Ur Rahman. While, from October 29 the formation of benches would be change as first bench will comprise of Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Sheikh Azmat, second bench consist of Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk,

Justice Ather Saeed and Justice Iqbal Hameed ur Rahman while third bench comprising of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, fourth bench comprise of Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and fifth bench consist of Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Mushir Alam.

According to cause lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.

If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
