ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has decided to a give a relief of Rs. 2 per litter in the prices of Petrol and High Speed Diesel, which were proposed to be increased by Rs. 6.69 and Rs. 6.12 per litter, respectively.
Instead, the increase will now be Rs. 4.69 and Rs. 4.12, respectively.
The government will pick the difference of Rs. 2.1 billion per month on this account, a senior official at the Ministry of Finance said here on Monday night.
Meanwhile, the prices of Kerosene Oil and Light Speed Diesel have also been increased by Rs. 2.14 and Rs. 2.81, respectively.
