No CNG supply countrywide in winter: Petroleum Minister

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to keep the supply of compressed natural gas (CNG) suspended during the winter across the country, media reported.

Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the CNG stations will remain closed during December, January and February in the country.

In an informal chat with the news channel, the federal minister asserted it is domestic consumers and power sector alone that will receive gas during winter.

Pak-Iran gas pipeline, he underscored, will be completed by January 2015.
