MQM likely to join PPP govt in Sindh

KARACHI,: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan People’s Party have decided to join their hands again as MQM has decided to join the PPP’s government in Sindh.

Senior MQM leaders have gathered in Dubai on the directives of MQM chief Altaf Hussain to review the decision.

The leaders of both parties will meet soon as PPP has shown willingness for closer ties with it former partner in the provincial assembly.

Top cadres of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) overnight reached Dubai for negotiations with the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party in connection with the broad-based cooperation in the province.

According to the sources, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Adil Siddiqui, Babar Ghaur and Deputy Convener Nadem Nusrat from London arrived in Dubai at the directives of Muttahida Chief Altaf Hussain.

Former interior minister Rehman A. Malik will also attend this meeting.

The sources said leaders from the two parties will discuss the prospects of the MQM to join hands with the government in Sindh.
