LoC ceasefire vital for better Pak-India relations: FO


ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has said that Pakistan wants ceasefire on the Line of Control on mutual respect to turn the dreams of the leadership of the two countries into reality.

Taking part in Radio programme “Nukta-e-Nazr” this night‚ he said that the Premiers of Pakistan and India during their meeting in New York have vowed to work for peace in the region.

He said if ceasefire is restored and maintained on the LoC then the leadership of both the countries will be able to work on other issue to bring peace and open avenues of prosperity for the people of the two countries.

He said that the blame game is not the solution of any issue but practical steps must be taken for maintaining peace as it was decided between the two Premiers.

Aizaz Ahmad said contacts are underway for a meeting between the DG MOs to address the issues of violations of LoC. NNI
