LCCI Complaint Redressal Day on 21st


LAHORE: In a major move towards creation of business-friendly atmosphere in the country, the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has made elaborate arrangements to observe ‘Complaint Redressal Day’ on October 21 (Monday) for its members to enable them to do their businesses with a peace of mind.

LCCI President Engineer Sohail Lashari, Senior Vice President Mian Tariq Misbah and Vice President Kashif Anwar would hold meeting LCCI members from 11 am to 1pm at LCCI’s 4th floor specifically to listen to their business-related complaints to be forwarded to the concerned government departments for an early action, said the LCCI President here Saturday.

The very objective of observing Complaint Redressal Day, he said, was to encourage the LCCI members to use the platform of the Lahore Chamber to get their issues resolved as this Chamber of Commerce of the country had a excellent liaison with all government departments, besides having the capacity and ability to present their cases to concerned authorities after fulfilling procedural requirements.

“Quite often it happens that a business or a trade or an industry association comes across some problem but does not know as to how and whom the complaint to this regard should be forwarded. Therefore, the LCCI present management has decided to come to their rescue to enable them to continue their businesses with peace of mind,” he elaborated.

Lashari said that as per decision, the LCCI would collect these complaints and after that either authority concerned would be invited to it for a meeting with the aggrieved members or would get these complaints resolved through correspondence.

The LCCI President said that all forums including electronic or print media would be utilized for the solution of genuine problems of the LCCI members as the Lahore Chamber believed that the private sector was engine of growth and backbone of the economy.

He added, “The LCCI will not simply be forwarding the problems of its members to the government but also recommend suitable suggestions for their solution.”

Sohail Lashari said that first and third Monday of every month would be observed as Complaint Redressal Day.

It is to mention here that LCCI office-bearers, while addressing the LCCI Annual General Meeting on September 30 last had promised to turn the Lahore Chamber a bridge between the public and private sectors.
