Lahore: Rival groups’ armed clash kills two hurts four

LAHORE: At least two persons were reported killed and four others injured in an armed clash between two rival groups in Lahore on Sunday night, media reports.

Khalid and Haider, residents of Kainchi’s Main Bazaar, are old enemies and they used to clash with each other frequently, told the police.

They exchanged harsh words with each other on Sunday and gradually their quarrel turned into an armed clash between supporters of both sides.

Two persons died on the spot and four others sustained bullet wounds amid indiscriminate firing from both sides in the armed clash, added the police.

The police rushed to the clash side, after receiving information, and moved all injured persons with bodies to the hospital for medical assistance.
