KP govt urges centre to get US drone strikes stopped

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has asked the federal government to play its role in stopping US drone strikes.

The provincial government has also appealed to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to stop suicide attacks and bomb blasts on humanitarian grounds.

The KP government demanded of the centre to take it into confidence regarding talks with the militants.

It said that a demand to allow Taliban to open their office was made to make the talk process result oriented.

The KP government urged the government to formally launch the talks with the Taliban.
