IGP for special security measures on Diwali


KARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch has directed the police to make extra ordinary security arrangements on the eve of Hindu festival Diwali falling on November 03.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, he asked the authorities to prepare security plan for the safety of temples as well as the worshippers and VIPs at provincial, districts and zones levels.

He directed to exercise strict vigil on borders with Sindh especially tri junction of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan by setting up check posts and blockades.

A Police spokesman has appealed to the people to inform the police immediately if they spot some suspected material and objects including bags, parcels, brief case and vehicles in the proximity of temples and other public places.
