Governor advises FATA students to focus on studies

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah has advised the students to focus on their studies; make best use of the available facilities and get them prepared in their respective disciplines for taking over future responsibilities successfully.

Talking to a group of students, hailing from FATA, who called on him at Governor’s House here on Sunday, the Governor also realized them that both their parents and the government have been putting their hard earned resources for ensuring their better future and it is now up to them to apply them in a better way for their well being.

The delegation led by Akhtar Gul while apprising the Governor about their point of views especially requested to enhance volume as well as number of scholarships which the administrations at various level of FATA have been sponsoring. They further requested to approach the organizations engaged in socio-economic uplift activities in FATA to give preference to local youth in provision of employment opportunities.

Responding to the requests put forward by the students, the Governor pointed out that it is clear policy of the government that all the public and private sector organizations engaged in carrying forward development activities must have to give priority to locally available candidates while meeting their manpower requirements in different trades.
