ISLAMABAD: Muslims across Pakistan are celebrating Eid-ul-Azha today with religious fervor by slaughtering animals in the name of Allah following the Sunnah of Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), media reports on Wednesday.
The people sacrifice animals including cow, goat, sheep and camel according to their purchasing power on any of the three days of Eid.
Different slaughtering points have been set up in different places of federal capital for the convenience of the people.
Special prayers were offered for the prosperity of the country and unity among the Muslim Ummah during the Eid prayers.
The government gave a special gift to the public this time as Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced that there would be continuous supply of the compressed natural gas (CNG) to filling stations from October 14-20 in order to facilitate people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
