KARACHI: Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar has said that it was essential to take action against the leaders of criminal elements in the city.
Speaking to a private TV channel, DG Rangers said they did not have pressure from any side and that the operation against outlaws would continue.
Major Gen Rizwan said the authorities concerned were working on the laws against terrorism and if the laws were not made, then the ongoing operation would not be successful.
He said there was gradual decline in the extortion complaints in the metropolis.
Intelligence Agencies were sharing information, he said, and added that coordination between Rangers and police was much better.
