Chairman Senate for enhanced cooperation between Pakistan, South Korea

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari has said that Parliament is the supreme forum that reflects true aspirations of the people as well as national ideals and commitments in all areas of human endeavour, even bilateral relations.

He was addressing a reception hosted in honor of the Pakistani delegation by the Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea in Seoul. It is pertinent to mention here that Chairman Senate is leading the delegation.

While addressing, Nayyer Bokhari said that through enhanced inter-parliamentary cooperation, Pakistan-Korea relations can be further strengthened and deepened.

“It is indeed a great honour and privilege to be in the midst of our respected Korean friends, colleagues and partners from the parliamentary fraternity at this stately reception hosted in our honour”, the Chairman observed. He extended gratitude to Kang Chang-hee, Speaker of South Korean Parliament for the invitation and for the exceptional hospitality.

Capturing the spirit of this momentous occasion, the Leader of Pakistani delegation said “I am privileged to extend, on behalf of the members of Pakistan Senate delegation and the whole Pakistani nation, heartiest greetings, best wishes and warmest sentiments to Kang Chang-hee, members of Parliament and whole Korean nation”.

Both Pakistan and South Korea are celebrating 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. He expressed satisfaction friendship, cooperation in various areas have deepened and that we wish to further strengthen and expand our fraternal relations with a special focus on political, economic, trade and defence fields.

“We look forward to working together with you to achieve the full potential of our partnership”, the Chairman observed. He expressed optimism that this visit will contribute towards greater cooperation and connectivity between our two fraternal countries, and help tap the phenomenal potential to maximize our linkages in all areas of mutual interest and benefit.

Earlier, the Chairman Senate in a meeting with Mr. Kang Chang-hee, Speaker of National Assembly of Korea exchanged views on matters of mutual interests and bilateral significance. The Chairman Senate appreciated the South Korean assistance. He underscored the need for more cooperation to learn from each other experiences in different fields.

Chairman Senate also held meeting with Mr. Cho Nam wook, Chairman of Sambu construction company. Nayyer Hussain Bokhari urged the Korean investors to invest in Pakistan. He appreciated the Korean investment in different sector. NNI
