Whole nation seeks peace in country, says Imran Khan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that whole nation seeks peace in the country.

Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the PTI leaders in Lahore on Thursday over upcoming local bodies’ polls in the province.

The PTI talked to media after meeting and shared views over peace talks. He said that industries have been closed across the country and whole nation wants peace.

‘Military operation cannot bring peace and dialogues are even held between the enemies too,” added Imran Khan, saying it is up to the nation to decide of military operation or dialogues to solve the issues.

“During last three years, four All Parties Conferences have been held and those all agreed upon dialogues but just one bomb blast ends process of talks,” he said.

Imran Khan suggested on the occasion that they could move forward for dialogues with help of tribal elders as all parties have jointly decided of talks for peace in the APC.

He reminded that back in year 2004, also talks of dialogues took place in the country, but Pervez Mushrraf halted those.
