KARACHI: Sindh government desperate to restore peace and control target killing, has decided to install biometric system at all the exits and entrances of Karachi city.
This was stated by additional home secretary Sindh, Ikram Malik Khawaja while briefing chief justice Sindh High Court (SHC) Justice Mushir Alam.
He said that all land links leading to and from Karachi, including National and Super Highways would have biometric system.
Ikram Malik said that those entering or leaving the city would be identified through their thumb prints.
Additional home secretary told the court that federal government has decided computerized attestation of all the arms licenses.
He said that in accordance with the new policy a citizen can’t get more than four arms licenses and attestation of the licenses would be ensured within stipulated time period otherwise they would be considered cancelled.
