Sindh bill proposes ban on excessive wedding spending

KARACHI: A bill seeking ban on unnecessary spending at wedding ceremonies was tabled in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday.

PPP MPA Sharmila Farooqui presented the bill.

The bill sought a ban on decorating streets and roads during a wedding ceremony. It, however, allows the decoration of wedding house.

In her bill, Ms Farooqui also proposed banning aerial firing, cracker blasts and display of fireworks.
