ISLAMABAD: Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Ghadeer, Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar Thursday and informed him that a delegation of Saudi Development Fund would be soon visiting Pakistan to discuss further economic cooperation and assistance for various projects.
During their meeting they discussed the economic situation in Pakistan and the steps taken by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to stabilize the economy.
The Saudi Ambassador expressed the confidence that the priority and focus attached to the economy by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will soon start bearing fruits.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Ghadeer assured the Finance Minister that “we stand by you” as you strive to revive the economy of Pakistan.
Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close brotherly relations linked in bonds of religion, culture and history.
The Finance Minister informed the Saudi Ambassador that the government’s economic measures have shown good results in July 2013 and that the conclusion of a programme with IMF and economic measures of the government have provided comfort to International Financial Institutions who are now approaching Pakistan to do business because of improved perception.
