ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Ghadeer on Thursday called on Federal Minister for Finance, Senator Ishaq Dar and discussed the economic situation in Pakistan.
During the meeting they also discussed the economic situation and the steps taken by the government to stabilize the economy.
Senator Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close brotherly relations linked in bonds of religion, culture and history.
He informed that government’s economic measures have shown good results in July 2013 and that the conclusion of a programme with IMF and economic measures of the government has provided comfort to International Financial Institutions who are now approaching Pakistan to do business because of improved perception.
The Saudi Ambassador expressed the confidence that the priority and focus attached to the economy by the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will soon start bearing fruits, said a statement.
He informed the Finance Minister that a delegation of Saudi Development Fund would be soon visiting which will discuss further economic cooperation and assistance for projects in Pakistan.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Ghadeer assured the Finance Minister that “we stand by you” as you strive to revive the economy of Pakistan.
