RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police in its drive against anti-social elements have arrested 29 outlaws including two drunkards and recovered 5534 grams charras, 39 bottles of liquor, 10 liter liquor, five pistols 30 bore with 24 rounds and one repeater 12-bore with six rounds from the possession of the accused.
According to police spokesman, Bunni police held Adnan Bashir on recovery of 1120 grams charras. Mandra police arrested Naveed with 500 grams charras.
Naseerabad police rounded up Ehsan Ullah for having 516 grams charras. Taxila police netted Nasir for carrying 1310 grams charras and Jahat Qureshi on recovery of 1125 grams charras.
Gunjmandi police nabbed Atif Rabbani with 10 bottles of liquor, Shehzad was arrested for having eight liquor bottles. New Town police apprehended Aqeel Ahmed with eight liquor bottles. Saddar Baroni police sent behind the bars Majid Ali as 10 liquor bottles were recovered from him. Jatli police held Arif and seized 10 liquor bottles.
Meanwhile, Civil Line police arrested two persons namely Nadeem and Hamza who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Other accused were caught for carrying illegal weapons, drugs and liquor.
