Protests held in Jamshoro against Peshawar Church attack

JAMSHORO: Protests sparked across Sindh province on Monday against the Peshawar suicide attack on church which killed 82people besides leaving more than 100 others injured.

Protest demonstrations were held in all the major cities of interior sindh by the Christian community. In Jamshoro hundreds of people including women, children and elderly people belonging to Christian community participated in the demonstrations.

Christians of Sindh University, Liaquat Medical College, RBB Colony, Thermal Power House, Wapda Colony staged sit in at railway track and blocked the Indus Highway creating massive traffic jam.

The speakers addressing the protestors termed the Peshawar incident as conspiracy to divide the countrymen on the basis of religion.

They demanded the arrest of elements involved in attack on Church and urged the government to review its policy against the terrorism to save the people.
