Protection of Pakistanis in Syria top priority: Waheed Ahmad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Syria Waheed Ahmad on Thursday said that there are about two hundred and seventy Pakistanis in Syria and the mission in Damascus is in constant touch with them.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan, he said the mission will help evacuate those families who are willing to go back to Pakistan in case of US attack on Syria.

He said protection and security of Pakistanis is his first and foremost duty.

He said that the situation is normal in Damascus at present and the staff of Pakistani embassy is performing its duties  as per routine.
