Progress can only be made by upholding rule of law: PM

NEW YORK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said Pakistan can make progress only by upholding rule of law and the Constitution.

Addressing PML-N office-bearers in New York‚ he said the world appreciates the peaceful transition of government in Pakistan.

He promised to continue his struggle for strengthening democracy and said there is for ending politics of personal vendetta for the progress and development of the country.

The Prime Minister said that his government will bring a revolution in the country by making the youth self-sufficient.

The Prime Minister said that PML-N always followed the Charter of Democracy in its true pirit. He said democracy is the only path which can lead us to the destination.

Nawaz Sharif said present government enjoys public mandate as it has come to power through power of ballot. He stressed governments should always be changed by the vote. He said country’s development suffered whenever public mandate is disrespected.

He said institutions and law is in place in the country to curb the menace of corruption.

The Prime Minister pledged to bring revolution in the country by making it self-sufficient. He said unemployment will be checked in the country by giving small loans to the people.
