PPP files adjournment motion in Senate on Peshawar Church blasts

ISLAMABAD: Five Senators of PPP on Monday filed an adjournment motion in the upper house of Parliament to discuss the urgent issue of attack on Church in Peshawar that claimed dozens of lives and injures to many more.

The adjournment motion was signed by Senators Mian Raza Rabbani, Saeeda Iqbal, Saeed Ghani, Maula Bux Chandio and Syeda Sughra Imam.

The movers of the motion said that the government has failed to protect the life, property and religious places of minorities violating Articles 25 and 36 of the Constitution. They said that as it is a matter of urgent public importance, the house must discuss it immediately and to eradicate the meanness of religious jealousy.
