PML-N ex-MPA granted bail against Rs 4.7 mln surety bond, another arrested in fake degree case

FAISLABAD: District and session court on Friday granted bail to Khawaja Muhammad Islam, an ex-MPA of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) on surety bond of Rs 4.7 million.

Meanwhile, police arrested Haji Zulfiqar, PML-N’s former MPA from Bahawalpur in fake degree case.

District and session court Faisalabad, resumed the hearing of fake degree case against Khawaja Muhammad Islam. The court granted bail to the ex-MPA and directed him to submit surety bond of Rs 4.7 mln.

It should be mentioned that the court had earlier issued the arrest warrants of the former member of Punjab Assembly.

On the other hand, former MPA of PML-N from Bahawalpur, Haji Zulfiqar was arrested by police from court gallery after his bail plea in fake degree case was rejected.

Earlier, district and session judge Muhammad Rasheed Qamar heard the petition filed against him and rejected his bail plea.
