ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah held discussions over name of new Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for the second day today, but the meeting ended uncertain.
Speaking to media persons here, Shah said that the PM has advised name of Justice (r) Ejaz Chaudhry for the slot of NAB chief.
He said they also discussed the name of Justice retired Mian Ajmal which is proposed by the Opposition.
Shah said he has no serious objections on the name of Ejaz Chaudhry but considerations are required to bring a general agreement and uncontroversial figure to the important slot of Chairman NAB.
Shah and PM Sharif held consultation on Friday as well, but they could not reach the consensus and today’s 35-mint meeting also remained inconclusive.
