Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Ankara on a three-day official visit to Turkey on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.
The Prime Minister was warmly received by the Turkish Minister for Urban Planning and Construction, Ardgan Bayaktar.
During his stay‚ the Prime Minister will hold meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan to discuss ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations in diverse fields.
He will co-chair along with President Abdullah Gul the third session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Cooperation Council. The council is mandated to oversee and steer the unique partnership and intensify cooperation between the two countries.
The two countries are expected to sign several Memoranda of Understandings and Agreements covering areas such as housing‚ education‚ culture and trade.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also address a Business Forum in Istanbul to be attended by a large number of Turkish investors and entrepreneurs.
Prime Minister Sharif is accompanied with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Privatization Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan, Minister of State for Housing and Works Usman Ibrahim and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi. NNI
