KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Sindh Governor, Dr Ishrat ul Ebad and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. During the meeting, the law and order situation in the city was discussed.
The meeting came ahead of Prime Minister Sharif’s meeting with representatives of political parties.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) will not attend the meeting with the prime minister because they did not receive a formal invitation.
During his two day visit to Karachi, the prime minister is scheduled to meet representatives of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, traders’ unions and media to make them aware about the government’s roadmap.
The prime minister will also chair a special meeting of the federal cabinet which will be held at the Governor House in Karachi on Wednesday (tomorrow). The meeting will review peace and security situation of the city.
