PESHAWAR: The death toll in Sunday’s twin suicide bombings at a church in the metropolis area in Kohati Gate, mounted to 83 today; the investigations conducted by specialists revealed that a 20-year girl was among the bombers.
Meantime, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government replaced Ehsan Ghani as Inspector-General (IG) Police with Nasir Khan Durrani. The provincial government had earlier requested the federal government for the step, as Ghani had been posted by the caretaker government.
The investigations into the terror assaults on All Saints Church spread out that age of the suicide bomber girl was aged between 20 and 25 years.
The investigators collected the organs of female suicide attacker, which will be dispatched to Lahore for DNA test. The head of the other suicide bomber had already been recovered. His age was between 20 and 22 years.
A four-member investigation committee headed by SSP Investigation Masood Khalil visited the damaged church and collected more clues from the site of blasts.
