PESHAWAR: At least 19 people were killed and 43 others were injured when a blast ripped through a bus carrying government employees on the outskirts of Peshawar, media reported.
Deaths are feared in the incident.
According to initial reports, the explosion hit a bus going to Charsadda town of the KPK province from Peshawar city, carrying over 50 government employees, when it reached Charsadda Road.
More than ten people were injured in the blast and were shifted to Lady Reading hospital by police and rescue teams.
SSP Peshawar Najeeb Khan told media that the explosives were planted inside the bus, fearing that the fatalities may take place as most of the injured were serious.
The blast came five days after twin suicide blasts at a church in Peshawar claimed over 80 lives.
