Pak parliamentary delegation to visit China from Friday

ISLAMABAD: A seven member Pakistan Parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Speaker, National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi will visit China from 20th September, to 29th September, 2013. The members of the delegation will participate in trilateral dialogue among Pakistan, Afghanistan and China besides meetings with their Chinese counterpart.

A briefing session presided over by the Deputy Speaker was held in Parliament House, today to brief the members of the delegation about trilateral dialogues and relations between Pakistan and China. Ambassador of China Mr. Sun Weidong also attended the briefing besides, the members of the delegation.

While addressing the briefing session Deputy Speaker said that Pakistan and China enjoyed exemplary relations. He said that China is a time tested and all-weather friend of Pakistan and people of Pakistan were proud to be a such devoted friends. He appreciated the role played by the China for peace and stability in the region. He also appreciated Chinese support for social and economic development in Pakistan.

The Ambassador of China has said that Pakistan and China were very close neighbour and friends and share cordial relations. He said that the forthcoming visit of Pakistan Parliamentarian to China is very important and it will open new avenues of mutual cooperation. He said that their visit will provide them opportunities to see the latest development in China besides participating in trilateral dialogue and meetings with their Chinese counterparts. The representative of Foreign Office briefed the meeting about the trilateral dialogue among Pakistan, Afghanistan and China and Pak-China relations.

The MNAs who attended the briefing were   Mr. Sar Zameen, Mr. Amir Haider Khan, Mr. Shahab ud Din Khan, Mr. Akram Khan Durrani, Alhaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi and Mr. Shehryar Afridi.
