KARACHI/LONDON: While preparations are afoot to observe the 3rd death anniversary of MQM’s Convener Dr Imran Farooq on 16th September, speculations are rife that a parallel political party would be launched from within the MQM.
Political analysts keeping close watch on the situation in the MQM’s strong hold said that different leaders, who have been sidelined, are once again being seen active and meeting with those gone underground or left the political scene for quite some time.
Political circles said that London based former MQM’s sector incharge Naeem Ahmad is most likely to announce the launching of MQM (Imran Farooq Shaheed Group) on the 16th of September, 2013.
They said it is comparatively easy to announce the launching of Imran Farooq group in London for security reason as any announcement in Karachi would invite serious retaliation from the die hard supporters of Altaf Hussain. However they expect that a sizeable silent community of MQM workers is not happy the way the affairs of the party were being run and the dangers they face if they raise their voice against any decision of the leadership.
The political circles said that the old workers of MQM now reaize that Karachi was a heaven before the launching of the party and now the armed wing of MQM was dictating the policies and made every one hostage.
