PESHAWAR: On the directives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khan Khattak, 13 relief goods ladens trucks were dispatched for the earthquake affected areas of Balochistan on Friday.
The convoy was sent under the supervision of the Advisor to the CM on Relief and Rehabilitation, Yasin Khan Khalil. The relief goods included 1,000 tents, 1,000 blankets, 200 mats and other food commodities.
On the occasion, Yasin Khalil along with Secretary Relief and Settlement Aurang Zeb Khan directed the officers concerned to take steps for safe dispatch of those items to Baluchistan.
Later, talking to media, Yasin Khan Khalil stated that it was impossible to face natural calamities. However, the government and the people of the province were equally grieved over the incident and were with the people of Baluchistan in this hour of tragedy. He said on the directives of the CM, they were in contact with the ministers and high officers of Baluchistan and would continue to support them in the relief operation in the province.
