JUI-F to get second Federal Ministry

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) has finally succeeded to get second Federal Ministry and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri is hot favorite for the slot.

Highly placed sources in the JUI-F said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman during meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif persuaded him to give the JUI-F second Ministry after Akram Durrani’s induction. They said that the party is most likely to be given the Ministry of Capital and Administration.

Earlier the PML-N leadership had been offering one Federal Minister and one Minister of State posts to JUI-F in addition to chairmanship of Islamic Ideology Council and National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. However the religious party leader insisted for two full Federal Ministers posts and ultimately succeeded in getting the favour particularly at a time when the government is exploring all options to start dialogue with Taliban.
