ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday accepted bail of accused Akhtar in the Islamabad standoff case and order to release him.
Accused Akhtar will be released on submitting surety bond of Rs 200,000.
He is accused of providing weapon to the main accused Sikandar in the Islamabad fiasco case.
Judge Atiq-ur-Rehman of Islamabad ATC held the hearing on the petition.
On August 15, main accused in the case Malik Sikandar along with his wife harassed Islamabad city for more than five hours. Sikander, armed with at least two assault rifles, an AK-47 and a latest sub machine gun (SMG), started shooting at Jinnah Avenue.
