ISLAMABAD: Leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Saddiq-ul- Farooq Thursday said that the government is committed to maintain law and order situation in Karachi and fully cooperating with the Sindh government.
He said that the government has evolved consensus among all the political parties for maintaining law and order situation in the country.
Saddiq said that the federal government was providing all kind of cooperation to the province for curbing criminal activities in the commercial hub city.
Talking to a PTV,he said that the government has demonstrated political will in attending the Cabinet meetings to maintain law and order situation in Karachi.
He said that continuous democratic process was need of the hour to resolve all the issues including terrorism.
Leader of PML- N said that all political parties wanted strict action against the criminals without any discrimination to ensure the government’s writ.
Replying to a question,he said the government was committed to hold local bodies elections.
However, the provinces would decide whether to hold the elections on party or non-party basis, he added.
He said that PML-N government had put the country on the path to progress.
