NEW YORK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that democracy is the only solution of all problems of Pakistan, media reports on Saturday.
Addressing Pakistani community in New York, he said that after a big struggle the country is on the way of democracy and heading towards development.
The PM said that his party fought for the rule of law and independent judiciary.
Criticizing dictatorship, Sharif said that ‘one man show’ had damaged the country and made hurdles for democracy.
He vowed to end energy crisis, corruption and other key problems in the country.
The PM said that despite bloodshed during election campaign, the transition was in a democratic manner which is a positive sign.
He stressed on the need to continue the democratic process in the country for long term prosperity.
