PISHIN: At least six people, including three police officers, were killed and 10 were injured after a bomb explosion near a police mobile in Pishin, police and witnesses said Monday.
The incident occurred when the mobile was patrolling the area of Kali Sanger. The explosives were planted on the corner of the street.
The vehicle caught fire after the explosion.
Soon after the blast, the security and rescue officials reached the site after receiving information about the explosive. The security officials surrounded the area as rescue teams shifted the dead and injured to a hospital.
Six other policemen were injured in the incident.
According to hospital sources, the injured are in critical condition.
Pishin is a small town located in the Pishin District located in the east of the province at bordering with Afghanistan’s border.
Moreover, the security officials also started a search operation in the area while Bomb Disposal Squad commenced further investigation to find out the genre of the blast.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack.
He expressed deep sorrow and shock over the incident and prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the blast. NNI
