ISLAMABAD: An accused of explosive-laden vehicle case was arrested on Thursday. Police had foiled a terror bid by impounding an explosive-laden vehicle in Bara Kahu in the suburb of the federal capital last Friday.
The seized vehicle carrying fake number plate is registered to the name of a Rawalpindi resident.
According to reports, some important revelations regarding a key accused in the case Hammad Adil are disclosed. Sources said that Adil had taken Jihadi training. The family members of the accused said that Hammad Adil had left home six years ago.
The accused had also planned to bring two to three explosive-laden vehicles in Islamabad. The sources claimed that Adil revealed to the interrogators that the purpose of the plan was to attack Pervez Msharraf and some important installations in the federal capital.
