2nd & Final Test: Zimbabwe elects to bat VS Pakistan

HARARE: Zimbabwe on Tuesday won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the second and final cricket Test match being played in Harare.

Pakistan is leading the series by one-nil.

Pakistan are unchanged. Mohammad Hafeez is presumably fit for the game, and Khurram Manzoor and Rahat Ali rightly get another chance.

After the toss, Misbah said “I never believe toss is anything in the game. I don’t mind bowling first. They don’t have many spinners, so even if we are batting last, it does not matter.”

Brendan Taylor says he does not want to bat last on this pitch, which has had less than three days of preparation after the first Test ended on Saturday.

With Taylor returning after sitting out the first Test to be with his fiancee and newborn son, Sikandar Raza is unfortunate to miss out.

Brian Vitori replaces Shingi Masakadza, who was one of the three Zimbabwe quicks who had to bowl on and on in the first Test, only one spinner for Zimbabwe then.
